A barista has returned to Horsens and will open a cozy place on Thonbogade on 1st of June.
Horsens: Horsener Martin Egholm, 26, has returned home to Horsens after a couple of years in Copenhagen. And he has a mission in his hometown: to make a cozy coffee shop, where life can pass by, assisted by e.g. a nice cup of coffee from Sigfreds Kaffefabrik in Aarhus and good bread from Brød & Co. in Vejle.
- What appeals to me about coffee is the aesthetics. Just as a good glass of red wine and jazz also appeal to me. It is very present and relaxing. It is the notion "to be" that will be in main focus at the coffee shop. That one can be looked in the eyes and be treated as the one, he or she is, says Martin Egholm.
The new place is called La Vie and it opens in the previously hairdressing salon at Thonbogade 16 on 1st of June. La Vie is established in cooperation with Christine Abrahamsen (who is wife to Jan Abrahamsen, running Paradis on Thonbogade).
- I have got a lot of good experience from them, explains Martin Egholm.
